What guarantee does one get with rubberized waterproofing in George?

We provide a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee on all our complete roof coatings which can be extended to 20 years, subject to a maintenance coat every 7 years.

We can supply our rubberized waterproofing paint in any color you need, just supply us with the color code or a wet paint sample.

General Method of Operation for our waterproofing work:

We meet on-site for a thorough inspection of the problem area(s) and provide an official quotation in a timely manner. If the waterproofing quote is accepted, we then decide on a suitable starting date.

All roofs requiring a complete rubberized waterproofing coat will be pressure cleaned with our petrol-powered high-pressure cleaner.

We then apply one coat of sealer/primer to the entire roof area and when that is dry, (about a day) we apply 2 – 3 coats of our eco-friendly rubberized waterproofing paint. We also apply a fiber membrane over parapet wall flashings and roof ridges, if necessary.

Our rubberized roof paint can be sprayed on or brushed on, depending on the size of the project and the client’s requirement.

When to do waterproofing in George?

Good quality waterproofing material should have the following properties:

UV Protective:  – Exposure to constant sunlight can cause damage to the waterproofing which is why it needs to be UV resistant to prevent any sun damage

Elasticity: – The membrane needs to have some flexibility. This is to ensure that it can contract and expand with the foundation and be able to stretch over wall cracks.

Tear-Proof: – Make sure that your waterproofing contractor is using a waterproofing membrane that won’t tear as the membrane often stretches (in our African sun) and you obviously don’t want it to rip and allow water inside your roof.

Breathable: – Some membranes (and rubber paint) are designed to be breathable, meaning, it will allow water to pass through in the form of vapor, so that if water does get in under the membrane, it does not sit stagnant on the structure, but will be able to get out in the form of vapor when the roof heats up.
